Improving green spaces
- Establishment and maintenance of Butterfly Junction.
- Clearance of rubbish from neglected patches of land; planting of trees, shrubs and flowers; and continuing maintenance of these “patches”.
- Initiated the improvement of North Street Green.
- Support for the Dame Emily Park Project.
- Helped to establish Friends of Greville Smyth Group (FroGS).
- Initiated riverbank clean-ups and awareness-raising events on the New Cut and established the Friends of the Avon New Cut (FrANC).
- Design and installation of information boards in local parks and along the Cut.
- Support for the establishment of support groups for South Street Playing Fields, St John’s Churchyard and Gores Marsh Park.
