Southville Centre Logo Outstanding Ofsted Logo

The Sustainable Southville Project was created in 2002 following a survey of local residents, which indicated people wanted to improve their local environment.  The project’s aim is to improve the sustainability and quality of life for people living in Southville, Ashton and Bedminster.

Teams of volunteers have worked on the following environmental projects:

Improving Green Spaces

Encouraging Wildlife

Improving Our Streets

Encouraging walking, cycling, public transport

Energy Conservation and Waste Management

Promoting local enterprises

We have lots of lovely floral display outside the Southville Centre as we do our bit to brighten up BS3. Summer 2015 saw the arrival of three big wooden planters on our railings, built and installed by local resident Mo Mulligan, with the help of a grant from Bristol City Council’s Clean and Green fund .
