Congratulations to Greater Bedminster Community Partnership (GBCP) who have been recognised by the first Pride of Place Awards in a ceremony which took place at M-Shed on 27th of July. presented by the Lord Mayor of Bristol.
GBCP did fatastically well and were named winners of the:
Good Living Award sponsored by SITA UK and Bristol Green Capital Partnership - recognising environmental work and sustainability issues.
It was with great delight that the partnership went on to collect the awsard for the overall champion neighbourhood partnership Champion NP for 2011, colloquially known as "best in show".
The judging panel consisted of representatives from public, private and statutory agencies across the city and each award winner recieved an engraved Bristol Blue Glass plate (made in Bedminster!)
The Southville Community Development Association is a member of the GBCP and we support the work of the partnership by providing free room hire and a postal collection service.
The awards are currently on show at the Southville Centre.
