What's On
Projects
We support a number of social, environmental and cultural projects in this community in a variety of ways. These were initiated at The Southville Centre and some continue to meet here. These projects only work because so many local people have become involved - to the point where most projects are run directly by community groups and individuals independently of the SCDA but supported by us as necessary.
All the projects use our members' skills and their voluntary work allows them to thrive and continue to improve BS 3 now and into the future.
We:
- provide our professional planning, financial, marketing and administrative expertise at cost or free of charge
- sometimes have access to grants or bursaries as a registered charity and are able to apply on behalf of or jointly with groups to fund our environmental/social and cultural projects.
- we provide marketing for projects in our building, via our members and on our website, a package which would cost a great deal if purchased commercially.
