Four Artists

Shelley Hankins, Liane Stevenson, Bronwen Grover & Nick Church

In December 2015 we hosted four artists in our corridor gallery, some new to us and some familiar.

Shelley Hankins is showing her vibrant floral batiks and watercolours. Shelley says:

"I am fascinated by the natural world around me, with its diverse colours and marks, emerging and interconnecting.  My work tries to create this by employing the batik technique, and I watch as the rich textures and colours begin to reveal their own landscape within my subject, formed by the wax and silk paper.”

Shelley offers workshops for those wishing to learn this beautiful and effective painting technique for beginners and those with some painting experience. She also takes commissions. You can contact Shelley on tel 01458 445042

Liane Stevenson was with us just recently showing her colourful paintings with hints of collage and is back with some of those plus her delightful and rather large monochrome animal drawings.

Bronwen Grover has exhibited her watercolours with us in the past (see an example here) and this time has a set of wonderful acryclic landscapes full of rich colour.

Nick Church is another familiar face here and is exhibiting his colour photographs taken around Bristol. He recently exhibited his "creative, contemporary & cliche-free" photography in our café. Here's a lovely image of flowers in St Nick's Market, central Bristol.

All Nick's prints are for sale and you can see more of his work on his website here
