Preferred Supplier Policy

As Social Enterprise Mark Holders we are dedicated to raising the profile of the Mark as a clear symbol of quality and ethics in business. We have written a set of principles to encourage use of like minded businesses in our everyday procurement.


We will prioritise procurement of services and goods from:

1. Social Enterprise Mark Holders; local and then national

2. Businesses, co-ops or charities with local objectives

3. Local branch of a national business, co-op or charity

4. Anything else – all things being equal in terms of reputation, price and service.

We developed this policy in order to:
  • Do business with other Mark holders because they are sustainable businesses, financially, socially and environmentally.
  • To lead by example - encouraging others to make principled procurement choices.
  • Principled procurement helps us to deliver our Aims as an organisation.
